In 1913, Henry Ford installs the first automotive assembly line. The Model T exists because Ford first designed the tooling to produce fifteen million identical units. The prototype is merely a side effect of reproducibility.
Plastic injection imposes the object's geometry before the object exists. Corner radii, draft angles, wall thickness, everything is dictated by the constraints of demolding.
The matrix determines what can be born. A stamping produces only forms compatible with part extraction. A press tolerates only geometries that survive compression, no longer imposed by a negative, but selected by a force.
The first copy already bears the trace of the millionth. Every industrial product is the imprint of a manufacturing constraint that does not yet exist at the moment of its design but already determines its final geometry.
